Southern Salt Charters is owned and operated by  Cedar Key Native  Capt. Danny Allen.  Southern Salt Charters is entering its 10th  yr of service we have come a long way and have added younger brother and also  Cedar Key Native Capt. Nick Allen a board fullfilling trips.  The Captains have grown up right in beautiful Cedar Key and its surronding waters. Our captains have been raised in a commercial fishing family here in Cedar Key led by their father and older brother and all their uncles. The Allen family consist of three generations of Cedar Key heritage.  The passion for fishing Cedar Keys waters were embedded in their souls in early childhood years. Capt Danny had his own boat at fifthteen yrs old and has spent many days fishing the backcountry and flats of  the cedar key area.  Our captains are experienced saltwater professionals, with thirty five years combined experience fishing Cedar Keys waters.  Our personal goal is to embed the same passion we have  for our sport right into everyones saltwater souls.  From the minute you step foot on one of our skiffs you will began to see years of experience at work. We have fished folks with skill levels from beginners to professionals, all with the same goal,  catching fish, learning something  or  just enjoying the day.We have been on small to national  fishing shows. Southern Salt Charters has aired nationaly with " Reel Animals"  fishing show, "Hooked on Fishing" with Bill Miller, "Fishing the Nature Coast" with William Toney. And our Biggest show was with "One More Cast" with Shaw Grigsby.  We also do  weekly reports for fishing magazines and newspapers.
