They are caught by various anglers using various techniques. We target them with top water lures like Skittet walks and top dogs, spoons, or weighted soft plastics. | The above picture of a cobia is the big boy of Cedar Keys inshore fishing waters. You can catch them using live or cut bait. They will hit plugs and soft plastics as well. The two techniques used on Cobia are, fishing structure and chumming in the flats. Both work well when there on the migratory pattern through are area which is late march through august. The daily limits 33" to the fork of the tail and 1 per person.
